How To Pre-Register for the Nebraska Star Party

Pre-Registration
Pre-Registration is not available directly online. However you
may download the NSP Pre-Registration
Form in PDF format, print it, fill it out, and return it by mail prior
to June 1st to take advantage of the advance
registration discount of $10 per adult. Of course, walk-in
registrations are welcome anytime during the week of NSP at the full
adult price. A printable 8-page Information
Packet with detailed
information about how to get to NSP, what to expect when you arrive,
where to stay, where to eat, etc. is also available for downloading.
Pre-Registration
Form Instructions
Fill in the requested information for the name of the registrant
and the names of the other persons in the party, along with contact information.
Cost of NSP attendance is just $35 per adult if the form is returned postmarked
by June 1st. Cost for children age 12 and under is $10.
If the form is postmarked after June
1st the cost is $45 per adult.
Meals
Optional evening meals for Sunday, Monday, Thursday, and Friday evenings are available, and must be prepaid with your registration.
Tuesday's "Cattle Country" Burger Bash is included with your
registration, while Wednesday's evening meal following the Speaker Sessions
in Valentine will be on your own.
All meals are priced at $9 per adult, and $6 for kids 10 and under, and include bountiful servings of an entrée, three side dishes plus dessert and drinks. Meals will be served on the observing field convenient to your observing location. Menus for each day are printed on the pre-registration form. Indicate on the form the number of diners in your party for each day and fill in the meal cost in the right-hand column of the form.
T-Shirts
The popular NSP commemorative T-Shirt is available in limited quantities.
A small number of shirts will be available at the star party, however
they
sell out quickly, so you'll want to order yours along with your Pre-Registration
by filling out the T-Shirt order section with the quantity requested of
each size. Shirt sizes below XXL are $12, while XXL and above are
$14 each.
Children's
Program
NSP activities on Wednesday will be held at Valentine High School, and include
our special expanded Children's Program with activities designed to pique youngsters'
interest in science. As with our Field School, the Children's Program is included with your registration.
Please indicate in the applicable section of the form the number of children
from your party up to age 12 who will attend the program.
Youths between 12 and high school age may wish to assist younger children as mentors in the program. Indicate if you have children who are interested in mentoring.
Liability
Release
For insurance purposes, all NSP attendees must sign and date our liability
release prior to returning the form.
Beginners
Field School
One of NSP's unique family-friendly features is our Beginners Field School
consisting of three days (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday) of two-hour
classes held in Valentine, during which attendees will learn the fundamentals
of observing which can be put into practice on the observing field at night.
NSP's Field School is free to attendees, however materials are limited
and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please indicate
in the applicable section of the form the number of positions you'd like
to reserve for interested members of your party.
Arrival
and Departure Dates, Lodging Preferences
For planning purposes, we're asking pre-registrants to indicate the anticipated
dates of arrival and departure of their parties, along with their anticipated
lodging preferences. This information is for our statistical use
only, and will not in any way restrict your attendance to the dates you
provide, nor affect lodging availability.
Finally...
Add up the number of attendees, optional meal orders, and T-shirt orders,
then calculate your total cost prior
to, or after the June 1st postmark deadline. Make sure you've read,
signed, and dated the Liability Release section, make your check
out payable to Nebraska Star Party, and mail the form with payment to:
